Rahm for mayor?

By Ken Feltman

Rahm Emanuel is considering a run for mayor of Chicago. The problem is that Chicago has a popular mayor who may seek another term. That mayor is named Daley and for thousands of Chicagoans, the Daley name is synonymous with the office.

Emanuel needs a landing spot and letting his name circulate is a way for him to learn whether he has a shot. He will run only if anointed.

With his name out there, Emanuel buys some time and deflects criticism for his hard-ball tactics in the White House.
