John Thune and Nikki Haley

by Ken Feltman

As predicted in an earlier Radnor Report, Senator John Thune (R-S.D.) has begun to raise his visibility. He is testing the waters for a possible presidential campaign. Obama’s seeming weakness has encouraged him.

Meantime, Nikki Haley is not even the Republican nominee for South Carolina governor and she is being mentioned as a vice presidential possibility in 2012. Attacks by misogynists in the South Carolina Republican Party increased Haley’s competitive resolve and caused GOP women to get behind her.

The very early line: A Thune-Haley ticket in 2012?

He is retired chairman of Radnor Inc., an international political consulting and government relations firm in Washington, D.C. Feltman founded the U.S. and European Conflict Indexes in 1988. The indexes have predicted the winner of every U.S. presidential election beginning in 1988, plus the outcome of several European elections. In May of 2010, the Conflict Index was used by university students in Egypt. The Index predicted the fall of the Mubarak government within the next year.
