Attacks from the fringes

 – Ken Feltman

Partisan Democrats and Republicans attacked my article about independent voter disenchantment with President Obama and potential Republican challengers.

The most common complaint was that the research was wrong. Others blamed the independent voters.

“You listened to the wrong people,” said a Democrat. “You didn’t have real independents. You must have had Democrats,” said a Republican.

Another Democrat summed things up: “Just shows independent voters are often uninformed. But we knew that.” Another Republican suggested: “Independent voters are following 2012 closely.”

My favorite: “I’m bored already. Nobody creates any excitement except Trump and he creates the wrong kind. Now he’s an expert on birth certificates. How often is that useful for a president?”
