Using natural-language processing, computers are trained to perform specific functions, analyzing huge amounts of data to find useful patterns.

Whether it is suggesting choices to make in our search engine or streaming video service, or finding us better dates, artificial intelligence is already making a real impact on our lives and is poised to do much more.
