Will Trump’s abortion rule backfire?

Planned Parenthood recently walked away from up to $60 million annually in federal funds because of a Trump administration ruling that barred recipients from providing or referring abortions.

Republicans really don’t like Planned Parenthood. According to a 2018 Gallup poll, 63 percent of Republicans have an unfavorable view of the organization — which puts them out of step with independents and Democrats, who view Planned Parenthood much more favorably.
